The LOG200 does not have filters such as LPF in the log amplifier block, so the built-in auxiliary op amp is used to configure the circuit if necessary. Is this correct?

Yes, you can configure the auxiliary op amp to be a low-pass filter. Please see the application note here (page 15, Section 7.2) for more details: Perform Accurate Optical Current Sense Measurements Using the LOG200 Logarithmic Amplifier
