INA199-Q1: Regarding Die failure mode distribution

Hello,

For the amplifier I have seen there are die failure modes are provided. Among those failure modes there is one failure mode which is "Pin to pin short, any two pins".

For the above mentioned failure mode whether can I split this failure modes as pin short with adjacent pin or I should consider it as only 1 failure mode ?

Hi Karan,

I think the failure mode includes adjacent pin short, as well as pins that are not adjacent to each other. An example would be GND and IN+.

In other words, adjacent pin short would be some fraction of the total.

Thanks for your valuable feedback.

You mean to say including adjacent pins I should consider (for ex: Pin 1 Short circuit with Pin4,5,6) as well.

Can you please give your confirmation on this ?

Hi Karan,

The failure mode includes all combinations of pin short, regardless if the two pins are next to each other or far apart.
