Hi team,

My customer want to calculate IC's lifetime after customer shipped their products to their end customer.

I know we can get MTBF and FIT data on TI.com. But how to use them to approximately get lifetime data.

Hi Gary,

All of our products do undergo a life test. The life test applies normal operating condition and biasing to the device and runs it for 1,000 hours at 125C. When running at the elevated temperature the device ages more rapidly than at room temperature. The 1,000 hrs at 125C is equivalent to a 10 year lifespan. The devices are checked before and after the test to look for a shift. The test allows for the width of distributions like Vos to double across the 10 year lifespan.
