Hello,
these devices have same functionality but different specification. For example. the ADUM has input voltage range 0.25 to 4.3V when powered from 5V (the linear range). The AMC device has half the input range but the linear range goes down to zero.
However, it should be possible to adapt the circuit to use the AMC0311S.
* Adjust the amplitude of the input signal using e.g. a resistor divider
* connecting the pin 6 to GND.

From my understanding, neither device is functionally compatible, correct? This means they cannot be included on the same BOM list once the software is finalized, right?
If that's the case, will the team consider developing a pin-to-pin compatible device with ADuM4195-1 in the future?

To add onto Jiri, I have attached a comparison table with the AMC0311S/R vs ADUM4195 that can hopefully provide some more information on the differences
You are correct, neither device is functionally compatible with each other, ******(edited)******
You can decrease the input voltage range to match the AMC0311S but lose half of the full scale range of the ADuM4195-1.
Furthermore, we have the AMC1351-Q1, which has a 0-5V input range similar to the ADuM4195-1, but it has a gain of 0.4V/V instead of 1 V/V for the ADuM4195-1.
Hi Brian, it is a matter of wording. In my opinion, these devices are functionally same - they are isolated amplifiers using a delta sigma modulation to cross the isolation barrier. Both parts transfer analog signal across the isolation.
What is different is the specification (e.g. input and output voltage ranges). This means that these devices are not pin-to-pin (p2p) compatible.
The engineer would need to slightly modify the hardware (or software). I can't judge the impact without the complete circuit diagram.
