Difference between OPA4227 and OPA4209 op amp

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA4227, OPA4209

What are the main difference including the internal designing of the ICs between the OPA4227 and OPA4209?

We had checked the performance of both the ICs by doing simulations but found that both give the same results between the frequencies 100Hz to 50KHz.

  • Abhijit,

The OPA4227 and OPA4209 are both very good op amps and have similar performance. The OPA4209 provides somewhat lower noise while using less quiescent current. It generally requires more quiescent current to achieve lower noise. The OPA4209 uses more advanced circuit design and IC fabrication process to achieve this. There are other, more subtle improvements in the OPA4209 such as wider bandwidth and lower distortion.
