Potentiostat

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP91200, LMP91000, LMP91000EVM

I want to develop a 2 electrode potentiostat for some chemical sensing(change in potential on electrode surface). which analog IC and/evaluation board should i  start with?? after checking the site lm91200 seems the one. any advice???

  • Neuro11,

Yes for a 2 electrode pH chemical sensing application it would be the LMP91200 and LMP91200EVAL board.

But you mention "potentiostat" so if it is a 2 electrode potentiostat gas sensing application I recommend looking at the LMP91000 and the LMP91000EVM board. The datasheet describes how to connect the device in the 2-lead (galvanic cell) configuration.

  • Hi,

thanks for the reply. It seems i might need LPM91000 but without counter electrode. I will not be sensing gas rather some very small variations of surface charges.
