Unity Gain Differential Amplifier

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH6551

Hi All

I am designing a unity gain amplifier circuit using LMH6551. I want to design circuit without adding any resistor (i.e feedback directly connected). I want to know whether I can connect feedback directly. The reason to connect such a way is the signal driving capacity is very low (CL=5pF and current in terms of uA). So with unity gain circuit i want to increase driving capacity of analog differential signals. Can anyone suggest any other solution to implement this.

Thanks

Sachin

  • Hello,

Yes you can set the LMH6551 feedback resistors to 0ohm since it is a voltage feedback type of architecture. If unity gain is what you are trying to do, the thing to do is to set RF= RG. RF value of 0ohm will get you a gain of 0V/V instead.
