Hello,

I have a problem with managing heat dissipation using LMH6522. My board has 6 layers and is as nearly as big as LMH6522 evaluation board.

However my board gets very hot whilst the evaluation board stays reasonably cool. Is there a chance I can get the evaluation board PCB layout?

Hi Victor,

We did several board revisions for thermal dissipation. The design we finally used has a lot of top and bottom metal and several 2 oz copper ground planes. One big benefit to having a lot of ground planes is that you get some really nice power supply bypassing with the parasitic capacitor formed when you have a power plane and ground planes on either side of it.

We also juggled the stack up on this board. The top layer is 14 mils of dielectric so that the 50 Ohm traces can be wide for low loss. We used 5 mil inner layer dielectric to maximize the beneficial capacitance between the power and ground planes.
