Hello,

Can someone please tell me; on the LM111QML-SP TO-99 is the case of the part connected internally to any of the pins, or is it grounded at all if the lid is metallic etc.?

Hello,

The metal case is connected to pin 4 (V-). Please see Figure 1 in the datasheet.

Hi Jim,

Pin 4 (V-) is usually connected to the case on standard pinouts.

It even says so on the QML datasheet - in the note to the left of figure 1 pinout on the first page.

"Note: Pin 4 connected to case"

This is pretty typical of the metal can packages. One of the leads is connected to the case - and usually it is the lowest potential pin, which usually V-.
