OPAX170

Is there a plot of current noise density for the OPAX170? What is the input architecture (CMOS or Bipolar)?

Thanks.

  • Phillip,

From the small magnitude of the input bias current (typical 8pA @25C), you may conclude that the OPAx170 is implemented on the high-voltage CMOS process.  Since the input current noise spectral density is a square function of the IB, it is extremely small (few fA/rt-Hz) - see below.  The increase in the current noise at f>10kHz is a direct result of the IB increase caused by input capacitance.

  • Thanks Marek, I figured it was CMOS, usually TIs datasheets state it though.

    The graph is very helpful.
