TINA-TI: How do you set temperature of components for noise simulation?

The noise of a component depends on its temperature, but how do I simulate this in TINA?  I found that I can set the temp of each component individually, yet the resistors and op-amps have an option for "Relative" or "Absolute" temperature.  What does this mean?  Relative to what?  Is there a global temperature I can set?

    Yes, the Analysis Parameter window is where you set the "global" environment temperature. All of the circuit components, unless specified individually to a different temperature, will be simulated at this global temperature.

    I too was a bit unsure about the meanings of "Relative" and "Absolute" in relation to the TINA-TI Spice simulations. I wrote one of the software engineers at DesignSoft, the creators of TINA-TI, a few years ago and asked for an explanation about their meanings. Here is an approximation of what he said:

    If you set the device temperature to Relative and the temperature to 0 C it means that the device temperature is set to 27 C. Relative means that the device temperature is relative to the "global" temperature. Its default is 27 C, but can be changed as needed using Analysis > Set Analysis > Temperature of environment > enter temperature. For example Relative and a temperature of 10 means 37 C, if the global temperature is 27 C.

    If you set a device temperature to Absolute, then the temperature of that device becomes independent from the global temperature. For example, Absolute and 10 means that particular device is forced to 10 C.
