LMH6881 - missing DC specs

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH6881

Hi,

The LMH6881 is missing the following DC specifications:

1) Output Voh (max) and Vol (min). I like to check if an over-loaded LMH6881 could damage my ADC

2) OCM input current. I like to know whether I could drive it directly from a DAC

Thanks,

Noam

  • Hello Noam,

    To answer your questions:

    1) Output Voh (max) and Vol (min). I like to check if an over-loaded LMH6881 could damage my ADC.

Ans. The maximum differential output voltage swing for f < 10MHz with Vs = 5V is specified as 6Vppd in the datasheet. This is the scenario with output CM centered at 2.5V. So, the Voh(max) will be 4V and Vol(min) will be 1V on each output pins centered around output CM of 2.5V.

    2) OCM input current. I like to know whether I could drive it directly from a DAC.

Ans. The OCM input can draw some current on the order of <20uA. You could use a resistive divider to set the OCM input. As long as the parallel combination of the resistive dividers is 5kohm or less, you should be fine.

    Best Regards,
