INA216 Gain error question

Dear Sir,

My customer has question about INA216 gain. Why INA216A4 (Gain = 100) has better gain error performance than INA216A3 and A2? Higher gain might have higher gain error? Doesn't it?

Hi Gary,

We reviewed characterization data and created a histogram based on INA216 gain error distribution variants. There are mean differences(probably due to tester measurement error) but the spreads (and sigmas) look about the same. I believe the differences in typical datasheet values are purely coincidental.
