LMV393 VCIM range vs output status

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV393

Hi,

About VCIR of LMV393, please let questions.

The LMV393 use with Vcc=+5V.
From the data sheet(SLCS136T), VCIR (Common-mode input voltage range) is specified in the -0.1V to +4.2V.

To us IN- (4pin) terminal, input signal voltage range 0V to +5V.
1)But enter the higher voltage (to +5V) VCIR, Do you have a problem?
2)Between the input signal voltage is +4.2V to + 5V, the output is changed (inversion, etc.) would you like to do?
(Output is hoping that does not change → In the simulation results of TINA, output did not change.)

Best regards

  • Cafain,

For an op amp, common mode voltage = IN+ = IN-
For a comparator that has PNP input (LMV393), common mode is lesser of IN+, IN-
What is the voltage at IN+ ? Is it fixed or does it vary?
  • Hi, Ron-san

Thank you of Beyond the support.

    The circuit I have designed,
Comparator with Hysteresis Reference Design (TIDU020A) page5 is a circuit configuration of Figure4.
    IN+ is set to VH = 3.2V and VL = 2.9V.
    (Rx=100kohm, Ry=161kohm, Rh=967kohn, Oiutput-Pullup=10kohm)
IN- enter the 0V to 5V.

Look at the data sheet, I noticed,
LMV393 data sheet (SLCS136T) page11 9.2.2.1 of Input Volatge Range
[2.] was considered to be the present answer?.

    → Ouput "Low"

    How might it be?

    Best regards

  • Cafain,

    The values look good.
For input voltage above 3.2V the output will be low.
For input voltage below 2.9V the output will be high.
For input voltage between 2.9V and 3.2V the output will not change.

    Is the output ever high?
