Two features for Operational amplifier

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV710-N, LMV712-N, LMV881

Hi All,

Customer has below two requirement for operational amplifier

1)      When power supply voltage is below the minimum working voltage, output saturated to ground / VEE.

2)      No protection diodes between inverting and non-inverting terminal.

This two requirement is not like common parameter like BW, noise, supply voltage, etc. Then how to make a quick filter of all TI OP for this two feature.

I know some operation amplifier has integrated back to back diode in the input pin, some not, so is there any filter option in TI OP product folder, or that we can open select it based on experience? It is not possible to open every datasheet to check the spec.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

  • Hello Charles,

The LMV710-N, LMV712-N and LMV881 have outputs that short to ground when the shutdown pin is enabled (in shutdown). They and do not have input diode clamps.

However, I do not know if the output is pulled low when the the power is removed. I have to check.

I am not aware of any amps that purposely clamp low when below Vs.

    Regards,
