INA209 - Critical Output pin timing

Hello Team,

the INA209 supports the monitoring of the current via the internal Comparator + DAC beside the ability of measuring the current via an ADC.

Can you specify how fast it can be triggered the comparator output, upon the current limit are passed?

In particular it would be interesting the maximum time, without any delay activated.

Do we guaranty any max time for it?

I heard back from design, and unfortunately we don't do in depth characterization of that parameter for this part. We do specify a typical value of 5uS, however, on page 3 of the datasheet.

Thanks for the information.

I did see that part of the datasheet but I was not that sure that this was related to the "reaction time". The description may be misleading.

Maybe the word "output" in the description may help.

I agree. I had to double check as well. I don't know when the next revision will be, but I'll pass along the feedback to see if we can change the language so it's more understandable on the next revision.
