could you reply to below ? thanks.

[1] LMC6772-Q1 datasheet say Min Common mode input voltage is 5.0V at Vs = 5V.

    BTW,,, what is the Min Common mode input voltage at Vs = 5.3 V ?

[2] if common mode input voltage exceed (Vs + 0.3 V), the sink current should be limited below 5 mA ?

    Hello Paul,

    #1. The minimum common mode voltage (Vcm) is not changed by the supply voltage. The common mode voltage is referred to the V- pin.

    The minimum common mode voltage will be -0.2V regardless if V+ is at 5V or 5.3V. The Maximum common mode voltage would change with V+ supply.

    The Minimum Common Mode range voltage would still be -0.2V with a +5.3V supply voltage.

    #2. Yes. 5mA is the maximum current, but it is recommended to keep the current below 1mA or less.

    The ESD diodes are not designed for continuous power dissipation and external diodes should be added if the condition is expected to occur as part of normal operation.

    The current can be limited by adding series resistance to the input. A minimum resistance of about 1kohm per volt of expected over-voltage should be added. Feedback and divider resistors can count towards this resistance.
