Which of TI or National Semiconductor operational amplifier(s) in the signal path is fully, or near-fully constructed with JFET internal transistors?

Whether any new or obsolete TI or National Semiconductor operational amplifier(s) in the signal path is fully, or near-fully constructed with JFET internal transistors (except internal passive elements)? My question does not concerns to "JFET-input op amps" -  where are only two jfets.  If so, or are more than one - if I could ask about their symbols?

  • Hello Dariusz,

I checked all resources available to me regarding op amp designs utilizing JFETs. The only places I found the JFETs being used were the front-end stage and occasionally providing specialized functions inside the op amp where a JFET is more suited than a bipolar transistor. None of the designs have a JFET signal path throughout the op amp.

JFETs are primarily used to achieve input low bias current in higher voltage op amp designs. Bipolar transistors usually provide higher performance in the amplifier stages and that is why they are used in the signal path, after a JFET front-end.
