Hi Team,

Could you help double check what's the min single power supply for LM833-N ?

Is it 5V ?

It's not quite clear in spec. My customer would like to use 3.3V for supply, and need to double check.

    Hi Rocson,

    You're right, 5V is the minimum supply voltage. This device may not be able to operate at lower supply voltage and it would also be out of spec.

    Hi Rocson,

    Note that the "vs Supply Voltage" graphs are ±5V (split supply). This has tripped-up others, too.

    So the Supply Voltage vs Supply Current graphs starts at ±5V, or +10V.

    This device was originally targeted at Automotive and Consumer audio.

    Automotive radios generally used a +8V supply, which is why they left the dotted line below ±5V.

    I would not try to run it at +5V. The input voltage range precludes that...and it's non-op at +3.3V.

    There are many better low voltage audio amps, like the LME49721, LMP7732 and others.
