WEBENCH® Tools/TL071: Hard to find alternative op amp in webench filter design

Part Number: TL071
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV313, , TLV314, OPA314

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Support Path: /Tools & software/Help me with an issue/WEBENCH Power and Analog Design Environment/Getting Started with WEBENCH/

I have webench active filter design for me a butterworth filter with LT071 selected by the software, however, TL071 is not a good rail to rail op amp, I want to use same price range one to replace it. such as TLV314 or TLv313. But I could not find these parts in alternative list, I found OPA314, but simulation chart is not available....

BTW, with webench filter design UI, it is not easy to find a right alternative and I can not key in preferred part to run a simulation...Can any one show me a way out?

If I select my own op amp part, how can I put it into Webench filter design UI and run a simulation?

Thank you

Tony

  • Tony,

The webench team will reply to your concern, however being the weekend may delay response to Monday US time.
  • Hi Tony,

Thank you for your feedback about the WEBENCH Filter Designer tool.  The TLV314 and TLV313 are not supported in the tool.  The OPA314 is supported but there seems to be a problem with the simulation page.

If you have a preferred part that you want to use for your WEBENCH design and simulation, search for that part on TI.com.  If the part is supported, you will see a launch panel that allows you to directly create a design using that part.

    Example:

If you are already in a design and want to find an alternate part, click Select Alternate which will take you the alternate parts page.  On the top of the page, you will see a set of sliders that can help you narrow down the list based on your requirements.

    Example:

I look into having the OPA314 simulation page problem resolved and will get back to you shortly.  Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.
