help required -- tlv2211

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV2211

Dear All,

I am getting a output of 0 to 20mv from a ceramic pressure sensor , would like to convert it to 0 to 5v for input to PIC , we intend to use TLV2211 for the same , kindly help us out with the circuit and components to be used with this IC.

ceramic pressure sensor details

4 wire sensor , input 5 volts ,  , output --- 0 to 20mv   , please note input and output grounds are not common

  • Rashid,

The first step is to approximate the error to signal ratio.
Signal is 20mV range. Error is Vio (Input offset voltage) which is +/-3mV
So ratio is [+/-3mV] / 20mV = up to +/-30% of full scale output error.

This is a very large error. Do you have a plan (like software offsets) to correct for this error?
Even after correction, temperature shift will be a error source. 1uV/C typical is very good, but there is no maximum value in data sheet.

How much error is allowed for this design?
