THS6214: THS6214 Dx Out Pin voltage tolerance

Part Number: THS6214

Hi Team,

My customer is using THS6214/2 in broad band PLC application. And now we have a concern about the D1/2 Out pins voltage tolerance.

In my design, Vs+ = 12V, Vs- = 0V. and we have a TVS diode connected from D1/2 out to GND, shown in below picture.

The forward voltage of TVS diode is +2V, that means we have a risk to apply -2V to D1/2 out pins when Vs- = 0V. I am wondering if this condition will damage THS6214?

In fact, my customer want to know the output stage power model of THS6214, is it CMOS model or BJT model? customer believe if we use BJT process, THS6214 may work well in this condition.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Best,

Luke
