TLV3401: Input bias and offset current vs. common mode voltage

Hi team,

 

A customer was asking if we can:

 

Please provide input bias and offset current vs. common mode voltages (and over temperature) for the TLV3401? Your datasheet only specifies currents at common mode voltage of Vcc/2.

 

Is this something that someone can make a comment on?

  • Hi Billy-O,

    The TLV3401 is a metal option of the TLV2401 op-amp. The input stage is identical.

    The TLV2401 datasheet has a full set of input bias current vs common mode voltage graphs – though they are only at 25°C. There are a few ibias vs temperature graphs – of which you can extract the multiplier for the change in current at that temperature.

    Note that this is a bipolar input stage, so it will have a definite bias current with a change in direction as the input NPN and PNP stages transition.

    Because it is a bipolar input, the current is relatively flat through much of the temperature range (up to about 65°C), then increases exponentially at higher temperatures (2x every 10°C) due to the increasing leakage of the ESD protection diodes.
