The output of the LMV393 is open collector, but the datasheet recommends that the output voltage be Vcc + 0.3V Max.
I am looking to pull up the output to 12V. Can I do that?

No. The LMV393 has conventional ESD diodes from the output to V+. The upper ESD diode from V+ to the output will clamp if the output goes above V+..
You can pull-up the output to a voltage *less* than V+, but not above.
You will need to use a device that allows the output to be pulled-up to a voltage independent of V+, like the LM393, TLC352, TLC372 or TLV1702 for example.
