XTR105: capacitance on Vreg pin

My customer has a question about the XTR105 and am hoping you can point me in the right direction.

Particularly, I have noticed that in the datasheet no reference is made to adding a capacitor to the Vreg pin, however a 0.1μF capacitor is used on this pin in your reference design (TIDUAC6). I am wondering if this capacitor is needed for performance reasons, and if so what the acceptable ESR range for this capacitor is given that it is on the output of an LDO and I would like to avoid having that LDO go into oscillation.

It is not necessary to include the capacitor, but it may assist with load transients. I would not recommend placing more than a few microfarads of capacitance on the output. Unfortunately, we don't have any information on the acceptable range of capacitors or ESR, but if you stay under a few microfarads you should not run into any oscillation issues.
