OPA2810: most JFET input voltage & most positive input voltage

Part Number: OPA2810

Hi team,

I'm confused about the most positive input voltage and JFET input voltage in the datasheet. Could you help me with the two questions below:

   1. What's the difference between them?

   2. what's the largest common mode input voltage can I use?

Thank you!

best regards,

Cera

  • Cera,

OPA2810 has a JFET input stage that is active till ~3V from Vs+ and then transitions to a different type for Vs+-3V to Vs+ region. Common-mode and other DC performance will be degraded in this narrow region beyond what is referred as the "Most positive JFET input voltage".

The device will perform as an amplifier for the entire region that is specified as "Most positive input voltage", however with degraded performance for that last bit of region close to Vcc as referred in "Most positive JFET input voltage" spec.

    Hope that clarifies.
