TINA/Spice/OPA846: Transient Analysis Problem

Part Number: OPA846
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, , OPA657

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi all,

I am now using opa846 and opa657 as TIA .But the output signal is abnormal in shape and amplitude when i simulate the amps by TINA.The circuits and the output signals are described in the following figures.

The Input  is 200ns width,10nA,current  pulse signal.

Choosing Zero initial values when do transient analysis.

Looking forward your reply.

Best Regards.

  • Hi,

You're seeing the transient pulse because you are using the zero initial conditions setting int he transient simulation. Since the part is starting all values at zero, it is instantaneously seeing a 10nA current that is causing the overshoot. If you use the default operating conditions calculation then you will see a normal response.

    Regards,
