INA213-Q1: Shifting input common mode

Hey

In the Setup with INA213 my input common mode range will violate the negative VCM with -0.8V. The datasheet mention -0.3V max.

Any idea how to shift this into the safe operating area?

    Hello Mr. Analog,

    Is this common-mode (CM) violation that happens only temporarily or is this the common-mode presented to INA213 during system's normal operation?

    If it is a temporary event, then you can look at the ideas we have in the FAQ post here:
    e2e.ti.com/.../3610.dealing-with-device-protection-when-you-cant-exceed-0-3v

    If -0.8V is your normal operation CM, you might be forced to use some voltage isolation components. Obviously, you could try to use another part with a lower acceptable CM range or you could try shifting the ground pin of the INA213 from 0V to -0.5V or lower with a negative charge pump product such as the LM27762.
