OPA380: Guard rings on the MSOP-8 package

Does anybody have any suggestions for running guard rings through the lead array on an MSOP-8 package? There is only about 8 mils or 0.2mm between the the leads.

Hi David,

encircling the -input of OPA380 should be no problem, because pin1 is NC.

Can you show us a schematic of your circuit?

I switched to the SO-8 package and just ran a 6 mil or so guard ring trace segment between pins 3 and 4. Pin 1 was going to be encircled in any case since the guard ring goes up through the feedback R and C and out around the input header. The MSOP-8 part for both the OPA380 and OPA2380 are troublesome since the interpin gap is so small.
