INA282: in TIDA-01421

Hello Team,

In previous TIDA-01421 (2017 June), INA282 was in the BoM. But now INA240 is used in TIDA-01421 instead. INA240 has high CMRR transient common mode reject capacility so that it is suggested in the TI Design.

But may I know if INA282 is suitable for TIDA-01421 and will the part have any issue in this design when running a motor?

Hello Ting,

Thanks for reaching out on the forum. Under the conditions posted in that design, the INA282 should be fine as the design was tested and verified. However, for inline sensing like seen in that document, we now recommend the INA240 because it has better CMRR and faster common mode rejection. So if your client will be operating with higher switching frequencies, they should use the INA240.
