I have a board that uses many LF347M/NOPB devices but there is no stock at Digikey. There are many LF347DR devices. Can anyone tell what the difference is, or if there is a better replacement for the M/NOPB?

Hello John,
The LF347M/NOPB is the ex-National Semiconductor device, and the LF347DR is the TI (second source) version. TI has kept the original National device flow and they are NOT just a remarked device.
Both are electrically identical, but as two devices from two different companies (at the time), on two different processes, there will be differences in the fringes of operation. But for the majority of the applications, they are identical.
