Hi, I have a problem with last (date: 03 Oct 2018) OPA1662 PSpice Model of OPA1664 in PSpice (OrCAD) simulator. If I make import of this model, PSpice solver is working correctly, simulations are right (transient analysis):

When I import some other last PSpice models (OPA1652 PSpice Model or OPA1602 PSpice Model from TI web) in the design with OPA1662 PSpice Model, I get error message form PSpice solver:

Model of OPA1662 (from 03 Oct 2018) is incompatible with other last models from TI web (OPA1652 PSpice Model or OPA1602 PSpice Model), when I make import of old OPA1664 TINA-TI Spice Model from 20 Mar 2012 in PSpice and last models of OPA1652 or OPA1602, then PSpice is working correctly without syntactic errors of simulator. What is wrong? Problem is only with model of OPA1662 (from 03 Oct 2018) and other models (OPA1652 PSpice Model or OPA1602 PSpice Model) in one schematic sheet.

Hi Jiri,

All of these audio amp SPICE models were updated very recently and tested in OrCAD. I'm sure we can resolve your issue with a little bit of troubleshooting. Unfortunately none of the images in your post are visible. Can you please attach your OrCAD project for me to review?

Thanks for uploading your project. This is a bizarre issue, and I'm seeing it on my end as well. I am working on several possible fixes, and I've also reached out to Cadence support. I'll update you as soon as I have more information.

Hi Jiri,

I've resolved the issue. The problem arises when adding multiple models of our most recent template to a PSpice project because our template re-uses the same elements and subcircuits. The subcircuit names are kept the same, which causes problems when the simulator imports them all into one netlist. Unfortunately, this means I have to go back and correct every single model I've released on this template so that they all have unique subcircuit names. This is a lot of work, but it's good that the issue was discovered, so thank you!

To correct your particular project, simply replace your current OPA1662.lib with the one I've attached below.

Hi Ian, many thanks for OPA1662.LIB, it works! :) I have one question about opamps LME49600, LME49710, LME49723, LME49860, LME49990... Are these opamps obsolete, at the end of production or not? Spice model for the LME49860 is not available?

Regarding your other question, the LME49710 and LME49990 are obsolete while the others are still available. The LME49860 is owned by a different group inside of TI, so I will ask their applications engineers about the availability of a SPICE model.
