OPA2340: back side marking

Hello All,

My customer rejects OPA2340UA at incoming inspection because back side marking is not described at the datasheet. Any comments on what does back side marking mean?

Would it be possible to get a picture of the top side also? We would like to get the date code.

The date code is the first two characters in the third line on the top side of the device; in this case 72 correlates as Year/Month - 2017/February.

I've talked to our Quality team and it appears the bottom marking is associated with the mold injection process at the factory and is for TI internal use only. TI has used the bottom side marking since at least 2014.

If the customer concern is authenticity, as long as the parts are purchased from TI or a TI authorized distributor, it is genuine.
