LM2904-Q1: Question about Input current of Absolute maximum ratings

Part Number: LM2904-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2904-N

Hi team

My customer asked input current of Absolute maximum ratings.

For the LM2907, the Absolute  maximum input current displays 50mA as shown below.

But, I don't find  Absolute maximum input current information of LM2904-Q1.

Please check and reply.

Thank you.

  • Charles,

That table comes from LM2904-N data sheet which is non-automotive. As you noticed, the LM2904-Q1 does not have such a specification.
How much input current do you expect in your application?
  • Charles,

The note in LM2904-N data also describes what happens to LM2904-Q1. The current does affect the output state, and the current is not damaging. However, it is best to avoid the current.  Acceptable is to limit the current (via series resistors) to a low value. Low for for a rare fault would be less than -10mA, A low value for a common occurrence is less than -1mA.

Here is note from LM2904-N data sheet.
