Hi,

I am working with the spice model for LMV761. According to the datasheet, recommended operating conditions for the supply are +2.7V to +5.25V, however electrical characteristics are given for +2.7V and +5V supplies only. Is the spice model defined for supply voltages between those values? My experimentation and some related posts suggest it may not be. If that is the case, is there an updated model available that is well behaved for supply voltages that are not 2.7V or 5V?

Hi,

The model should work with operating range of 2.7V to 5.25V. What is leading you to believe the simulation doesn't work with this supply range?

Could you provide a schematic or attach your simulation file?

I'm working with differential inputs that are mirror images. With a 3.3V input and 1.65V common mode voltage (The maximum for this level of supply according to the datasheet), current draw into the positive input of the comparator spikes to 10 mA while current draw into the negative input remains at a level in the microamps. This causes the positive input signal voltage to be clipped while the negative input is not. I thought that possibly I was exceeding the max CMV by some small amount, but increasing the supply voltage to 4V (With the same CMV) causes an erratic response. Increasing supply to 5V causes the comparator to behave normally. I have confirmed at my bench that this behavior does not occur in the real world. This leads me to suspect the model may not be defined for voltages other than 2.7V and 5V.
