Our customers have questions about PCN.

This PCN is a change notification of FAB site.

What does the table below mean?

I understand that the device targeted for PCN is only LF412.

On the other hand, is LM 2576 HVT - 5.0 / NOPB an example of a similar process, is it correct?

Customers can not understand this table.
They are worried that BiFET will change to SLM.
Since there is no explanation about the SLM process, please explain easily what kind of process it is (Sxxx. Lxxx. Mxxx.).

Hiroshi-san,

Many devices were changed including LF347-N. LF412 was chosen as sample device from that group of devices changed. The LF347 (and LF412) uses a BIFET process before and after the change. The QBS device in table means a different device's qual data was used to support some of the qual requirements which is allowed due to process or package similarity for that qual test.

Customers can not understand unique abbreviations and ask many questions. We can not close without saying this abbreviation, we are in trouble.

Even if only the meaning is OK.

Does SLM mean products similar in process?

SLM is an abbreviation. Even I do not know what the letters mean. I do know that 'SLM' is a Bipolar process technology.

Just to provide a little more clarification:

The table that you referenced does not imply that any devices are changing process technologies. It is simply a note about how the devices were qualified - for some tests which don't rely on the process technology, devices which are in a different process technology were used. The PCN just indicates that the devices are going to be moving manufacturing locations and there will be no change to the devices or their functionality. SLM is just an internal process technology code.
