THS3092: Problems with gain

Part Number: THS3092

Hi everyone,

I have on a plug-in board a test circuit with THS3092 as voltage follower with Rf=Rg = 1kOhm.

Unfortunately the gain was always exactly one. Maybe someone has an idea what the reason is can?
I used a frequency generator as the source.

As load I used a 100 Ohm resistor.

Thanks a lot for helping me.

  • Hey GF,

So normally, we are doing network analyzer tests with these parts with at minimum a through calibration which will remove the matching loss to the input termination 50ohm. Then, the output goes out through series 50ohm to a 50ohm measurement device that causes a gain loss of 1/2, so your measured gain of 1 if the amplifier i doing a gain of 2 is correct.

That is what we do, can't tell for sure with you without a schematic or TINA file
  • Hi GF,

or is it actually an inverting amplifier with a gain of -1?

This cannot be answered without the schematic and the wiring plan.
