LM5056A: Voltage and Current Reading

Part Number: LM5056A

Dear Team,

I am not sure how to read the LM5056A's current and voltage.

Can you help to confirm it?

We current;y use 3mohm for Rsense.

 

I am not sure is base on below picture or not.

If yes, please help on checking the m, Y, R, and B for both current and voltage.

I try to calculate it, but need your confirm on it, appreciated

    Hi Kevin,

    There are two options to determine the parameters.

    The first is to simply calculate based on RS and table 40. Corresponding to the schematic, RS=3mOhm and CL=GND. We can get m=7471X3=22423, b=1949, R=-2.

    The 2nd option is to calculate a set of custom parameters based on curve fitting as you quoted above. I think the datasheet is perfectly clear on this topic.

    Thanks for the information.

    I think I understand more for how to calculate it.

    But I still get a wrong value here, please help on it.

    e1 ==> 2's complment should be -31.

    The equation for Vin should be 1/4612*(-31*10^2+566)=-0.549V

    But the customer's input voltage is 54V here, it seems something wrong here.

    Please help on it

    Hi Kevin,

    The Vin value should be a two-byte data. Just want to make sure that two bytes were read and used in the calculation?

    I don't know how to interpret the raw data picture you posted.
