TLV3201-Q1: I have a question to absolute maximum rating for TLV3201-Q1.

Part Number: TLV3201-Q1

Hi team,

I have a question about absolute maximum rating for TLV3201-Q1.

This device has both of voltage and current range for input pins. Is it no issue when the current at input pin is less than 10mA even if the voltage at input pin is less than -10V?

Our customer uses resistor to limit input current less than 10mA. In this case, there is no impact even if the input voltage is out of maximum rating. Is it correct?

Regards,

Nishimura

  • Nishimura-san,

The voltage at the input pin will always clamp to your supply rails due to the ESD Diodes.

As long as the current in this input signal is less than 10mA, you will not damage the part per footnote 2 in Table 7.1 of the datasheet.

    Regards,
    Jonny
