LMP8646: More Information needed about applications given in section 8.2

There are a couple of resistor dividers in the Application #2 drawing and I assume you’re referring to the one consists of RFBB/RFBT? It is not for stability, rather it is to set the regulator output voltage.

If I am not wrong this circuit will work like constant current source and value of current will be set by Rsense and RG so I think RFBB/RFBT will not be required

The original design is a voltage source.

It should work as a current source as you proposed, I don’t see an obvious reason why it can’t .

As we are giving current feedback to regulator with the help of current sensor, If there is any current variations it would reflect at FB node and regulator will work accordingly. High gain of error amplifier and negative FB will try to maintain output of current sensor equals to internal ref voltage. So this will fix the current flowing through SENSE resistor if I fix the value of RG and Rsense.
