AMC1211-Q1: Single Output

Hello,

I am using the AMC1211-Q1 and since I dont´t have the space in my board to use an ampop to convert the differencial output to a single output,

I was wondering if I can only connect VOUTP to my uC, and leave VOUTN floating or connected to ground.

How would VOUTP behave?

Hi Alexandre,

Welcome to our e2e forum!

You definitely should not tie the AMC1211 Voutn to GND, all that does is burn power and may shorten the life of the device. The AMC1211 has differential outputs, Voutp is just the inverse of Voutn. You should consider tying Voutn via a 10K resistor to GND.

Hello Tom,

At the moment I don´t have the AMC1211 to do some testing.

Can I assume that by tying Voutn via a 10K resistor to GND, the Voutp curve detailed in the datasheet (Figure 20) is going to remain the same?
