Hi Robert,

You will need a microscope to locate pin 1. By viewing the chip at different angles, you will see a pattern resembling the photo below:

The “X” isn’t very distinct and looks more like an inverted “L”.

Thank you for the response, we advised this to our customer. they were not able to locate PIN 1 still,

Here are the photos of the parts, are you able to note any marking that would tell us PIN 1

Robert,

Try using a less powerful microscope - we ran into the same problem. I think the scope is zoomed in so much that you're not seeing the markings on the device - however I think I can distinguish a "7N" marking on the device. From the top picture in your last post, it looks like Pin1 would be located on the bottom left side.
