TLV9304: TLV9302/4 with DAC60096 or DAC43608

Hi Team,

My customer would like to proceed with TLV9302/4 with DAC60096 or DAC43608.

See below:

1. DAC60096 – The output signal of DAC60096 is (-10.5v) – (+10.5v) square wave so need TLV9302/4 to amplify the signal to 0-40v square wave follow the input, does is ok?

2. DAC43608 – The output signal of DAC43608 is 0-5v or 0-3.3v square wave so need TLV9302/4 to amplify the signal to 0-40v square wave follow the input, does is ok?

What the Vcc need for the TLV930x if the amplify signal need to be 0-40v? Can you do preliminary schematic for both options?

Does TI can prepare amplify board of 256 outputs (if use TLV9304 I believe need 64 ICs) that it will connect to DAC60096EVM or can prepare amplify board of 256 outputs (64 x TLV9304) with 32 ICs of DAC43608 because TI doesn’t have EVM for DAC43608?

Hi Shlomi,

What is the maximum input square wave frequency used in your design? The limiting factor for the TLV9302 will be its slew rate limit. If the input frequency is too fast the amplifier will not be able to "keep up". I recommend watching our TI Precision Lab videos on Slew Rate for more information.

TI does not make an EVM that can hold 64 quad amplifiers. All our EVMs for amplifiers can have one amplifier package (single, dual, or quad depending on the EVM) populated on the board.

Hi Shlomi,

The TLV9302 will take approximately 13us (t = V/Slew Rate) to go from 0V to 40V due to the slew rate. This 13us transition time will be removed from the total time the output is high or low. If that is ok with your design then yes the TLV9302 should work for your design. I recommend putting your circuit into simulation and verifying the performance. Our TINA-TI models correct model many specification of the amplifier including slew rate.

What the Vcc need for the TLV930x if the amplify signal need to be 0-40v? Can you do preliminary schematic for both options? The end customer need full solution.
