THS4151: Amplifier selection guide for +/-10V output signal

Part Number: THS4151
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1300, , THS4131

Dear sir,

We are using AMC1300 for current measurement.

Measurement range : 0 to 40Arms

Shunt resistance : 2mOhm

High side voltage input : 113.12mV peak

low side voltage output : 927.584mV peak

measurement signal frequency : DC-20kHz

We need to connect this signal to analog input module having the input signal range of +/-10V. So we wish to have the gain of 10. (input signal :927mV and output signal : 9.27V). we selected THS4151 amplifier.

Please find the below circuit and kindly verify the same to proceed with implementation. (As an alternative, could you please suggest any amplifier supports for the dual power supply and output signal in the range of +/-10V).

Thanks & regards,

Rajasekaran.

  • Hello Rajasekaran,

I see nothing wrong with your implementation of the THS4151. In terms of alternatives, you may want to look into the THS4131 which has better DC and noise specs, but lower AC specs which shouldn't be an issue with the KHz bandwidth that you are using.
