Hi Amir,
A similar question was asked on the E2E thread which you may refer to:

Hi Tamara
I don't think they solve the issue.Getting small resistor resistor in parallel with 5K we loosing linearity.
Also I need solution for 0 to 5K linear resistance not a pot.(two sides and a wiper.)
I don't think it is correct .If you get 10k pot parallel with 1 k we are loosing linearity
Hi Amir,
How are you varying the input resistance from 0 to 5k-ohm linearly if not with a potentiometer? Can you provide more detail here? Is there a reason why you are not using a low-offset operational amplifier to convert this voltage to a current through a load?

Hi Tamara
Thanks for your response.
Actually input is sliding wire (It is like pot jus using two wires- one side and wiper areshorted.)
This application is for Power plant .We already using board we design before .Board is already approved and certified .(The cost of certification is very high-)
We have input PT200 and now we want to use for 0-5K linear input.
Thanks and Regards
