OPA180: recommended operating condition

Part Number: OPA180

Hi Experts,

I want to confirm a recommended operating conditions. The datasheet stated that supply voltage is +/-2.25V(min). But spec is specified by +/-2V(min). I suppose recommended operating condition is typo. Would you please clarify it?

Best Regards,
Fujiwara

  • Fujiwara-san,

The +/-2 V is the lower OPA180 supply voltage operating limit and TI assures that the op amp's performance will meet the specifications provided in the datasheet Electrical Characteristics table. However, no assurances are made about the performance if the supplies fall below +/-2 V limit, should the supply vary or have a wide tolerance. By planning on using the minimum Recommended Operating Supply Voltage of +/-2.25 V some guard band is built in the event the supply voltage droops, or is a little low.
