LF356: Naming Convention

Part Number: LF356

Hello,

We've been looking for the naming convention of LFx5x but it seems there isn't any.
Can you please help confirm what the first and second x stand for?

Thank you for your help!

  • Elisha,

It is not obvious, but the data is in the data sheet.

The first digit is the temperature range. This was common on older designed op amps.

The last digit is the speed of the op amp. Speed sets the bandwidth and slew rate, other differences are supply current and noise density.

Note that speed 7 will not be unity gain stable, but it is acceptable for circuits with a gain of 5 or more.
