we can need the OPA2990 but in the VSSOP (8) package.

Hi George,

The OPA2990 in the 8 pin VSSOP package is not currently in our schedule so it may be a year or more before the device is released in that package. The shutdown version of the device, OPA2990S, will RTM in the 10 pin VSSOP package and is currently available in preproduction samples.

Hi George,

Would the 10 pin VSSOP package work for you? You could connect the shutdown pins of the device so the amplifiers are always enabled.

We also offer the OPA2170 in the 8 pin VSSOP package which is a close cross to the OPA2990. Would the OPA2170 work for you?

Hi Tim,

I use now the OPA2170 with the 8 pin VSSOP. I will change it due to more output current ability of the OPA2990 (80mA/-80mA at OPA2990 against to 17mA/-20mA at OPA2170) without need to change also the PCB.
