OPA462: About release schedule and Vs Vo specification

Part Number: OPA462

Hi,

We are looking for High-Voltage op amp.
In that background, We found a pre-release OPA462.
I'd like to ask you about OPA462.

1.Could you tell me the OPA462 RTM schedule?

2.Can OPA462 meet our requirements below?
  Vs: - 20 V、+ 155 V
  Vo: - 10 V~+ 150 V

Best Regards,
Yusuke

  • Yusuke-san,

Our Precision Amplifiers Marketing Engineer will address your OPA462 RTM schedule question separately.

The OPA462 recommended maximum supply-to-supply voltage is 180 V. With V- set to -20 V and V+ set to +155 V the total in your application is 175 V, which is fine. Using asymmetrical V+/V- supplies are completely acceptable. Just make sure you observe the correct input common-mode voltage (Vcm) and output voltage (Vo) ranges relative to the V+ and V- levels you intend to use.

The datasheet Electrical Characteristics table lists Voltage Output Swing from Rail (Vo) as (V-) + 5 V (min) to (V+) - 3 V (max), for RL = 5 kilohm. Therefore, there shouldn't be an issue meeting Vo from -10 V to +150 V, with the +155 V/-20 V supplies. If the output current load is increased the Vo swing range will become more restricted. That is normal for op amps.
