OPA2340: OPA2340 typical input voltage offset temperature drift

Part Number: OPA2340

Hello,

I have a question about the typical value of Input Voltage Offset Drift that, I know, it is related to the standard deviation of distribution.

In the datasheet I have found it is 2.5uV/°C, but following the method shown here:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers/f/14/t/199595

it has been estimated that the value should be around 4uV/°C.

Why are they different?

Thanks,

Massimo

  • Well Massimo,

The typ spec entry for the OPA2340 has not apparently taken advantage of the excellent review you inserted from Marek Lis. Behind every spec table number is a person - not always with the same expertise exhibited by Marek's reply - use 4uV/C as per his review regardless of the typ spec.

Also, you might note that typ specs are kind of an odd combination of physical reality and marketing largess.

  • Thank you very much Michael for your fast reply, I will keep your consideration in mind for the future.

I' m going to ask you some clarifications on similar topic, but since the Op Amp is different, I will create a new thread.

    Regards,

    Massimo
